Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed by the label's the first artist of female gender for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. Her debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released by Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded her music on the internet in 2012. She released her debut album Ariography and debut mixtape in 2013 five Finger Discount. In 2014 she continued to upload her music via the internet including her independently released single Bound. In 2015, she appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes album on Sweat released on the 21st of July. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's references. Later in the calendar, her songs circulated throughout Dreamville. On December 28, 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna had been contracted to Dreamville Records. Backseat was her contribution to The Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In October of 2016 she dropped her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change and was an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. In 2018 she went on to be a guest on two of her songs along with label-mates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. On the 16th of July in 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream from her debut album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanying music video that was released on the 5th of September. Then, in November, she released two singles, 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. Then, in November 2013, she released No One and Pedigree. Then she appeared in the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single in February, 2019 to accompany her debut album with the same name. In February of 2019 a music video was released to promote the song. It already has over three millions views on YouTube within its initial week. In December of 2018, she was a supporting act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
